KumoHaven is a boutique hospitality consultancy founded by Maria Katayama, a former police officer from Texas now based in Montréal, Canada. Having grown up across England, Canada, and the United States, with a multicultural background spanning Asia, Europe, and South America, Maria brings deep cultural sensitivity and an intuitive understanding of what makes guests from different cultures feel welcomed.
Her law enforcement background instilled principles of trust, consistency, and authentic service that guide every KumoHaven partnership today. Whether consulting on listing strategy or co-hosting properties, every space is treated with the same attention one would give their own home.
This global perspective allows KumoHaven to connect authentically with international guests and anticipate their needs before they even ask.
